Seven entries in the Glamorgan Archives catalogue describe records bearing on the house and its setting between 1971 and 1992. The catalogue descriptions have been read; the items themselves have not been seen, so what they show is not checked. CVG/EC/3/1/3/13, ‘Photographs of sites in sector 7 of Penarth survey’ (c1975, one bundle), lists ‘Tymawr Farm, Llandough’ among the sites photographed for the South Glamorgan County Treasures survey, alongside School House, St Dochdwy Church and Llandough House. Our inference, not checked: this is Ty Mawr (Great House Farm), not Llandough Farm, and it may be the survey behind the ‘County Treasure’ description of the house relayed in December 1988. CVG/EC/3/1/3/1 probably holds the matching survey form (not checked). D387 holds the Penarth Town Council provisional list for the County Treasures survey, 1975. D1824/4/5, in the Penarth Civic Society planning papers, holds the East Vale Local Plan of 1987 and its 1991 review, with correspondence; a copy would fill MR-0044, whose catalogue entry is at present a placeholder. D1824/4/1 is a file headed ‘CADW’ (November 1990 to March 1992) and D1824/3/7 is the society’s correspondence of 1988-1992. D978/3/2/24-26 are aerial photographs taken on 6 July 1971 of Llandough Hospital and the area towards the Llandough trading estate; whether the farmhouse is in frame is not checked. Parcel: A (the farmhouse) for the survey photograph, form and list; parcel not identified for the local plan, the civic society files and the aerial photographs (the plan’s proposals map and the photograph frames would identify it).
