Coins are prepaid store credit for Cedwyn Estate goods only; not a cryptoasset, a financial asset or e-money; no cash value.
1. Who issues coins
Cedwyn Estate coins ("coins") are issued by DATRO CONSORTIUM LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (number 13775817) ("we", "us"), for the Williams–Buckler family's Cedwyn Estate sites at bucklerfamily.estate. Contact: the enquiry form or info@bucklerfamily.estate.
2. What coins are
2.1 Coins are prepaid credit you can spend only with us, on the Cedwyn Estate goods listed in the Treasury price list (today: e-books in PDF; later, gift-shop goods and paid site features).
2.2 Coins are not money, not a cryptoasset, not a financial asset or product, not a deposit and not electronic money. They have no cash value. They pay no interest. Their value never rises or falls: a coin is only ever spent at the coin price shown for an item.
2.3 Coins cannot be transferred, sold, swapped, exchanged or cashed out, and are not accepted by anyone except us.
3. Buying coins
3.1 Coins are sold in packs: 100 coins for £9.99, 250 coins for £21.99 and 600 coins for £49.99 (prices in pounds sterling, including any VAT due). Payment is taken by card through Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
3.2 After payment you receive a coin code (for example CED-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). The code is your balance: anyone holding it can spend the coins, so keep it private. There is no account or login.
3.3 We issue a code only once your payment has been confirmed. Until our automatic payment check is switched on, the confirmation page shows "Coins are being added" and the code appears on that page's link once the payment is confirmed.
3.4 Lost code: if you lose your code, contact us with your Stripe receipt and we will look up the payment and, if the coins are unspent, reissue them.
4. Spending coins
4.1 Each item's coin price is shown in the Treasury. For e-books it is the pound price × 10 (for example, an e-book at £9.99 costs 100 coins).
4.2 When you spend coins on an e-book, the coins are deducted at once and you receive a download link valid for 24 hours (up to 5 downloads). Please download and keep the file.
4.3 We may add or withdraw items and set coin prices for new items, but we will never reduce the balance of coins you hold.
5. Expiry and closure
Coins do not expire. If we ever close the coin service, we will give at least 60 days' notice on this page and refund the unspent coins on request, at the price you paid for them.
6. Your right to cancel and your statutory rights
6.1 You may cancel a coin purchase within 14 days of buying it and receive a refund for the coins you have not spent (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). Use the enquiry form with your Stripe receipt.
6.2 When you spend coins on an e-book you ask us to supply it immediately and accept that, once the download has begun, you lose the right to cancel that e-book. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if digital content is faulty.
6.3 Apart from 6.1, 6.2 and section 5, and where the law otherwise requires, coins are non-refundable.
7. Misuse
We may refuse or suspend a code connected with a reversed or fraudulent payment.
8. Your data
We keep your coin code, its balance and spending history, the Stripe Checkout Session reference and the time of each action, to run the service, keep accounts and handle refunds. We keep a short-lived, one-way hash of your IP address to stop repeated wrong-code guessing. See the Privacy Policy.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
