Skill: Facebook Page fan engagement tools (top / rising fan badges, weekly engagement list), with a gate

Written 1 Nov 2026 (skills harvest). Topic: recognising the few people who engage with the Page, so they keep engaging and their comments stand out. Before this, the index had no file on badges or the engagement list ('top fan', 'rising fan', 'fan badge', 'engagement list' all 0). This complements facebook-page-invites-reactors-auto-group-invites.md (getting followers) and facebook-stars-page-monetisation-gate-500-followers.md (another follower gate).

What the sources show (read 1 Nov 2026)

How-to

  1. Gate. Check the follower count. Under 100, the badges aren't available. Do step 4 by hand instead.
  2. At 100+. Professional dashboard > Fan engagement tools: turn on Top fan and Rising fan. Note the date in the growth log, so any change in comments afterwards can be read against it (a before/after read, weak by nature).
  3. Weekly, 10 minutes. - Open the Weekly engagement list. - Reply by name to each top or rising fan's latest comment, with something specific: a record reference, a question back. - Badge holders' comments are the first to answer.
  4. Do-it-yourself version (any size). - Once a week, list everyone who commented or shared, from the Page's posts. - Keep a running count per person: comments, shares, active weeks. Keep it in a private file, never published. - Thank repeat people in replies. Never in a post that names private individuals without asking.
  5. Never do these. - Don't tag or list badge holders in public "shout-out" posts without their OK. Badges are visible, but a roll-call is a choice. - Don't use them for DMs, sales asks or "invite your friends" pushes. - Remove a badge only for abuse, not for disagreement.
  6. Read. Comments per post and replies per commenter, month on month. Expect noise at our scale.
