Forensic Assessment — Forest of Cardiff
Scope: Forest of Cardiff’s role as present woodland holder/charitable owner and its statements about acquisition and disposal.
Current evidence
[SOURCE PENDING] Woodland was historically connected to the farmhouse parcel. Forest of Cardiff has stated in its correspondence that it bought the woodland from Ideal Homes (now Persimmon Homes) after due diligence, sold a small western section about 20 years ago and has observed nearby garden extensions. The charity has also made a private sale proposal for the remaining woodland.
Forensic control test
Do not collapse this into the historic title assertion. The key question is whether the woodland now held by Forest of Cardiff is the same physical land as the historic Parcel A woodland, and what conveyance/title documents support the charity’s acquisition.
Current finding
As at 10-10-2026, the material reviewed does not establish wrongdoing by Forest of Cardiff. The assessment is limited to the acquisition statement and identified title-chain evidence. Its acquisition statement is useful counter-evidence to the family’s remembered 1955 transfer narrative and creates a concrete title-chain question about Ideal Homes.
Human action
Obtain the current woodland title, 1994/2005 onward conveyances, the Ideal Homes transfer and Forest of Cardiff’s acquisition records. Compare plans before considering any proprietary or indemnity assertion.
Acceptance: a parcel-specific woodland chain identifies the exact land, titles, transfers, consideration where available and current possession.
Institutional appearance timeline — linked source index
Coverage rule: this is a chronological navigation map of published Wiki source pages found by searching the current site index for “Forest of Cardiff”. Every event label links directly to the page containing the source. The page is intended to avoid duplicating source narratives. It records mention/appearance, not culpability. The displayed date is a source/title date cue, not automatically the date on which the named institution acted. This matters for newspaper stories, later summaries and titles naming more than one event; open the source before attributing an act. Search indexing is a discovery aid, not proof of exhaustive coverage. 🕒

Rows below match the institution’s name or an alias in the reply register’s sender/reference or recorded description. A match shows an appearance in the records trail, not necessarily an act by this institution.
No matching reply-register row was found for this name/alias set. That is not evidence that no correspondence exists; broaden the alias search when new records are added. 🕒

Related analysis and change record / guest book — 18 October 2026
Added a cross-reference to the A-North woodland title track. The woodland chain should be mapped to the exact polygon and current title; the 1987 judgment’s scope and third-party title questions require the original court records and deeds. See the Three-part Parcel A: chronology, order scope and later title transfers assessment for the cross-parcel chronology, competing explanations and prioritized document list.
Change record: Added this cross-reference and a dated guest-book entry to connect this page to the new three-part Parcel A analysis. This is an editorial synthesis of existing leads, not a newly discovered primary record or a finding of dishonesty.
High-level Cedwyn Estate theory link: The Forest of Cardiff’s acquisition and due-diligence account should be tested against the exact woodland title polygon, prior transfer deeds and any searches or disclosures. Those records may confirm a chain of later ownership or reveal a discrepancy; the purchase alone is not evidence that the charity joined an earlier scheme. Read the Cedwyn Estate Working Theory.
